Now, I Don’t Mean to Be a Scrooge
Now, I don’t mean to be a Scrooge, but hear me out. As a native New Yorker, the holidays were my favorite time of year to schlep from Long Island to the Big Apple. My family is Jewish, and even still, I stood in awe of the Rockefeller tree, believed I would be a Rockette, and most definitely enjoyed chestnuts by an open fire. Currently, I am down in Texas, far from the NYC of my childhood and most of my 20s. No, I am not a Rockette, but I am a nurse. Before nursing, I studied fashion merchandising, so I’m sure you can imagine I constantly have thoughts of…

Did I just find the best Truly dupe at Walmart?
So while walking through the skincare aisle at Walmart, at 7am nonetheless, I stumbled upon something that looked like a truly dupe. Ranging between $10 and $15 they have it all. Love the Truly body butter? Walmarts dupe is $15. I personally got the booby and booty scrubs and smooth serum, everything else was out of stock or unfortunately tested. I am able to see that there are more in stock now at my local store so I’m going to order the shave butter and another serum to test out a routine. I was able to get some truly body butters on sale during ulta’s skincare sale so I may…

Why I absolutely love the Figs scrubs brand
I Love Figs! I was lucky enough to score some preloved ones on Poshmark for such a great deal and to me that speaks volumes of the quality. I personally prefer the joggers in tall because when bending and squatting i find they don’t ride up around my ankles. I’m 5’4 but have muscular legs and weigh 106lbs. I wear xs though they’re a little loose on my waist. I find them very comfortable and get compliments on how polished I look, and they wash well. I toss my scrubs into the wash as soon as i get home on a quick cycle with the Lysol sanitizer laundry additive and…

My life these past 6 months
It’s been about 6 months since I last posted. I started a new job 5 months ago but got hired shortly after my last post. I decided to start my job hunt thinking it would take months, but literally applied to a position, interviewed the following week and was hired two days later. I’m a patient care technician at a hospital here in San Antonio, basically a CNA, and I had zero experience. From what I saw, it’s typically harder to start off at a hospital vs an assisted living facility and I was expecting to face months of interviews and rejection. I did get hired with my interview, but…

How I began reviewing beauty products as a micro-influencer
My YouTube subscriber count is barely over 150, this is my third blog post, and my Instagram has about 2.3k followers, but this morning I got an email that I will be receiving a free Dr. Jart cryo rubber mask and a Mac studio radiance primer. If you’re interested in getting started with collabs as a micro influencer, keep reading. I’ve gotten a lot of free products in exchange for a review since I started in 2016, but in the last year or so they’ve gotten better. I spent part of summer 2016 in Israel and I decided that I was going to leave Texas and either go back to…

Easy Ways to Update Your Pantry
Are you looking for ways to update the aesthetic of your pantry? If so keep reading to follow how I plan to transform the pantry in my rental home After years of living in apartments from New York to Texas, we are finally renting a home. We bought a washer and dryer for the first time and finally have a walk-in pantry. The main issue is since it’s a rental, I can’t necessarily have The pantry of my dreams but I can update the aesthetics. Now that I am six months postpartum and a little bit more settled with baby number two, I decided that I would try to make…

How I started a Blog in 2022
I finally did the damn thing and started a blog. After sitting on this for years, I purchased my domain and got a subscription with Bluehost. This has been a long time in the making since 2017 to be exact. I studied fashion merchandising in college and dreamed of working in fashion but later I learned that what I really wanted was to be a content creator. I set a goal to move to NYC and hopefully create a successful blog chronicling my life living in NYC. I started with a name, purchased a MacBook and DSLR camera, and was going to events, but I wasn’t writing about it. Now…
